America certainly knows how to put on a fireworks show; they were the longest and loudest I've seen.
You're right about that. Talk about sore ears and burnt retinas. That's how you celebrate Independence I guess.
The somewhat funny thing is that Independence Day 'Freedom' celebrations were seriously restricted. In Sammamish city limits fireworks (other than the official ones) were completely banned.
There sure are a lot of rules here in the land of the free. Maybe I'll write more about this sometime.
